ASWE aims to accelerate the achievement of SGD 5

“As the UN report, The Gender Snapshot 2022, reveals achieving full gender equality could now take close to 300 years if the current rate of progress continues. Moreover, the WEF Global Gender Gap Report shows that even the most gender-equal countries will fail to close the gender gap by 2030.” 

Through the project 17 Faces of Action, ASWE aims to unlock the potential of women to build a world where all people have equal opportunities.   We believe that by empowering women across the world we can accelerate the process of achieving full gender equality.  Read the recent UN Today article to find out more about the role ASWE plays in reaching Sustainable Development Goal 5.
